"Our "little Nazis"

In The Light of the Jewish Idea of Rabbi Kahane

by Nachum Shifren

"F...You, Jew, Hitler Should have finished you off....
No, this wasn't Warsaw or Krakow. And it wasn't the Bronx or some sleaze bar in Mississippi. It was said here, right in the heartland of Israel, at a bus stop in Petah Tikva.

Actually "our" little Nazis were none other than Russian "Israelis" who had immigrated to Israel. But these were different immigrants. They came with the massive Russian Aliyah. Yes, Russian Gentiles, who hate Jews, and hate Israel.

The story of how and why they got to enter Israel is fascinating....

For years, I remember my father wearing a huge medallion around his neck calling attention to our brothers, the enslaved Russian Jewry, struggling to leave the communist hell. Finally, many came. But many who wanted to come were not Jews, just like the erev rav in Egypt, "hitchhiking" out of Dodge with Moshe and the bros....

You may ask: who would be so stupid as to allow 30% of the Russian Immigrants, who hate Jews and Israel, to come!? Answer: cynics and self-haters that wanted to dilute the influence of the orthodox, at any cost. This is what is happening today.

You see, what the Aliyah "experts" and concerned supporters failed to realize was the second part of the now famous slogan: "Let my people go....THAT THEY MAY SERVE ME!" That's the part that everyone conveniently glosses over.

Back to bus stop. Seen in the above context, it is clear that something is terribly wrong in the Land of Milk and Honey. And like Bob Dylan sang: "Dog's run free, so why can't we?" Thank G-d our lives are enriched with Torah and love of Hashem. This is the true freedom that we received so many years ago in the Sinai Desert.
